RG 557 maintains the ergonomic grip design based on the appearance of the original RG 556, but now debuts in two fresh color options:

• 🟣 Transparent Purple

• ⚪ Matte White

These new variants provide a clean contrast to the Black and Blue themes of the RG556, giving players more personality in their pick.

📺 Screen: AMOLED Goodness Returns

Just like its predecessor, the RG557 features a 5.48-inch AMOLED full-lamination display with a resolution of 1920x1080 and full touchscreen support. This screen is easily one of the best in the retro handheld space—perfect for both retro pixel art and high-end 3D games.

While Anbernic hasn’t officially confirmed the chipset, the demo video revealed the RG557 running the PS2 title “Shadow of the Colossus” at 3x resolution—a clear hint that this machine has serious muscle.
